The role of the mortgage broker is to help you find the mortgage or remortgage that is exactly right for you from the thousands of products out there.
It is true that you can go direct to some lenders yourself, and with the advent of comparison sites, you can do your own research online.
What that doesn’t do is give you advice. A comparison engine won’t talk you through the process and answer any questions you’ve got. A comparison engine won’t be able to recommend a mortgage that is the right fit for your individual unique circumstances.
As well as offering a full placement service for mortgages and remortgages, we also offer a consultancy service for direct cases – if the product that is right for you is only available directly from the lender, we can offer help with assessing the products on offer, and also where possible assist with the administration of the application too.
This option allows you to still get the best possible deal to suit your circumstances, whilst still having all the benefits of a brokers help and expertise during the mortgage process. That way you can stop worrying about the application and get on with choosing the curtains!
